Bookings are recommended for groups over 10.  If you have a special interest or school group that you would like to bring in during weekdays, please contact the manager at the park you’d like to attend.  They will be happy to accommodate your group.  These bookings are for paddleboats and mini-golf.  For picnic site or other facility bookings, contact the City of Edmonton directly at 311.

Text Box: HAVE FUN IN THE SUN WHILE DEVELOPING YOUR LEADERSHIP AND CAREER SKILLS!

 

LOCATION:  Hawrelak and Rundle Park (Paddleboats/Ice Cream)

PAY: $11.00 /Hour + commission  (on average, an additional $2/hr)

                                      

 TERM: Full time summer from end of spring term to beginning of fall term.

                          Flexible schedule including evening and weekends.

 

THE JOB:

Under the direction of the General Manager:

recruit, train and supervise up to eight part-time student staff  in paddle boat rental; staff scheduling; daily record keeping; cash reconciliation; payroll timesheets; site maintenance; light maintenance of equipment (e.g. replace paddle-boat parts such as peddles,); organize special event days; establish or modify crowd control system for special-event days; ice-cream sales  (from a freezer located at the boat-house); sale of firewood; other related duties as required;

 

OTHER:  Access to a vehicle is recommended

 

Training and continuous support provided.

COMPANY HISTORY

SunAura Parks Inc. operates the paddleboat and mini-golf operations at Hawrelak and Rundle Parks under contract with the City of Edmonton.  Our former parks staff have used this summer work experience as a step towards planning their careers and we are proud to include among them successful managers, office administrators, controllers and accountants, self-employed business owners, teachers, human resources professionals, computer systems personnel and a lawyer among them.
